Our goal
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Every meaningful photo has a full-sentence text description, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and a “skip to main content” link, and everything works with a keyboard.
- Text and buttons meet AA color-contrast levels, and pages reflow for zoom and for small phone screens.
- Forms have visible labels, describe errors in words, and announce results to screen readers.
- Animation is turned off automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Every place on the interactive map is also listed in text beside it, and the map has a written description.
Known limitations
Some linked resources, such as government websites and news stories, are outside our control. If one of them is not accessible to you, tell us and we will help you get the information another way.
Tell us about a barrier
If anything on this site is hard to use, email info@roryehoskins.com with the page and the problem. We will respond and work to fix it.
For accessible voting options, see the Cook County Clerk’s ways to vote.
